He has both an M.Sc. by research and B.Sc. in Computer Science from the University of Limerick. He is currently working on the Shared Worlds project and on a tracking toolkit which can be accessed onhttp://www.idc.ul.ie/toolkit/ His main focus is on the design, implementation, and evaluation of software tools and interaction techniques that more seamlessly integrate the physical and vitual worlds. He employs user-centered design methods that emphasise building systems that are grounded in field observations and interviews with the intended user community, and are iteratively prototyped and evaluated with real users.
